Being given the opportunity to share my experiences at Singapore School Manila is a great honour. Having been a student at this school for 13 years, I believe that my biggest takeaway would be how many opportunities are provided to students like myself. The teachers and staff ensure that students take pride in themselves and choose to excel not only in their academic endeavors, but also in terms of personal growth outside of the classroom. I am who I am today because of the lessons I have learned, the opportunities I have taken advantage of, and the friendships I have forged at SSM. I am, and always will be happy to call SSM my home away from home.

I  commend the incredible support system that is the team of teachers behind my batch’s success. Know that your tireless efforts and endless patience with all of us are testaments to your admirable dedication to teaching. I have found in each of you a mentor. You have all directly contributed to the discovery of my life’s pursuits. Thank you for guiding us with a firm and wise hand, for without your high standards for excellence we might have never pushed ourselves to succeed the way we did. Thank you for teaching us the value of making and sticking to a stand, and for reminding us that success is and will never be earned on the first step. You have planted in us seeds of diligence and level headedness. We owe it to your dedication to making an environment conducive for the development of all  SSM students.

Attending SSM and taking my A-levels was a 180-degree change for me. It gave me an opportunity to test my limits and experience where my abilities can take me. Having supportive teachers and a flexible teaching structure really helped with ensuring adequate preparation for each and every student. Just ask, and help is there! Without this environment, I would not be who I am today.

My journey at Singapore School Manila has been nothing short of amazing. Singapore School Manila has allowed me to grow into the person that I am today; a  welcoming, supportive environment that provided me with endless opportunities to explore my interests.  This school is so important to me. I’ve built a foundation for my higher education and made relationships that will last lifetimes. SSM has become my second home, where I found my second family.

 I would like to express my deepest gratitude  for not only providing us with fulfilling opportunities throughout our time in SSM, but more importantly fostering within our community the value of optimism, and especially for teaching me what it means to be truly brave in the face of adversity.
