Singapore School Manila’s ESL (English as a Second Language) programme is designed to help non-native English speakers learn or improve their proficiency in the language.

Our goal is to help learners develop their English language skills in four main areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This is achieved through a combination of classroom instruction, interactive activities, and practice exercises. The program is structured to provide learners with a solid foundation in English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and to help them develop effective communication skills in real-life situations.

SSM’s ESL Programme is classified into two:
INTENSIVE ESL COURSE: for students who are absolute beginners in English. This will run for ten months. Classes are three hours, five days a week.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ACCELERATOR COURSE: for students who have basic knowledge and understanding, but may struggle with more complex grammar, vocabulary, or conversation skills. This three-month course will help students accelerate their knowledge of the language.
In addition to classroom instruction, our ESL programmes will also provide learners with opportunities to practice their English language skills outside of the classroom. This can include social activities, conversation clubs, and community service projects. These activities can help learners build confidence in their language abilities, and develop friendships and connections with other learners and native speakers.
